After filing a lawsuit against the Wind Capital Group over a proposed windfarm over tribal resources, the court announced they will hear the case beginning Dec. 14.
The windfarm project was unanimously agreed upon by the Osage County board and the landowners where the windmills will be placed. The Osage Nation, however, own the rights to minerals underneath the land and argue that it will interfere with resource management.
The Nature Conservancy as well as local ranchers also argue the windfarm will fragment prairie and prevent areal spraying on pesticides.
The Wind Capital Group, who planned to begin contruction in November, hope the trial will be over with enough time to start contruction this year.
